Learn from the Best Salespeople Around

Do you have kids? Do you know someone who has kids? Watch them work. Especially the younger ones. These are the best sales people around.

  • They know what they want.
  • They have a narrow focus about what they want to accomplish.
  • They make clear what they want.
  • Kids are the Best SalespeopleThey have no problem letting you know exactly what they would like.
  • They are persistent. I don’t know how many “no’s” a salesperson must hear before they will hear a “yes” and I would bet kids don’t know the number either and they don’t care. They will ask and ask and ask and ask until they get the right
    answer.  The answer they are seeking, “Yes.” Past failure has no impact on future asking. I admire how my five year old can come to me with a request. When he receives a “no” he turns around and asks my wife the exact same question. The fact that he just heard “no” from me has no impact on him. The fact that I’m right behind him has no impact on him. He didn’t get the answer he wanted from me so it was obvious to him he just needed to ask right person.

You are a salesperson. You have to sell your product or service to survive. We are all selling all the time in all faucets of our lives. When you know what you have will enhance, benefit, aid, pleasure, empower or just plain fill a need for another, you should let them know about it.

Follow the guidance of youth. They are the best sales people around.
